• UPS Foundation Grant Cameron House Board President Heidi Wong and Cameron House Executive Director Doreen Der-McLeod recently received a grant from the UPS Foundation to Cameron House.

• Harvest Home November 2, youth from Cameron House collected food to be donated at Thanksgiving time to poor families in Chinatown. [ photos ]
• Guild Yum Cha The Cameron House Guild held its annual Yum Cha on October 22. They enjoyed good food, heard presentations from the Youth Ministries Staff and even did some energizing exercises.

• Summer Snapshots Youth in all three of our programs BYP, Ventures and Solid Ground had a fantastic summer.  [ photos ]
• Clubs Honor Shellee Leong On Friday September 7, Friday night club members honored Shellee Leong for her leadership of the program. [ photos ]
• Gordie Lam BBQ Over 300 people came to celebrate Gordie Lam's 35 years of service at Cameron House. [ photos ]
• Gordie's Farewell On August 3, Gordie Lam participated in his last Friday Night Club before he retires from being Director of Youth Ministries. [ photos ]
• 2007 Scholarship Awards On August 2, five scholarships were awarded to youth in the Cameron House Program.  The Harry & Mary Tong Scholarship was awarded to Kenny Lin (Yu Liang Lin).  Kenny was BYP coordinator this past summer.  The four recipients of the Ken & Josie Kwong Scholarship are Jennifer Hom, Kenny Lin, Bryan Tom and Christopher Young.  Jennifer and Bryan were on the Westminster Woods leadership support team this summer and Christopher was a Ventures leader.  Congratulations! • Scout Work Project On June 2, 2007 members of Troup 79 from South San Francisco came to Cameron House to repair broken benches, pews, etc.  Bryan Tom, a member of the Scout Troup, is also a member of PURE, a Friday Night club at Cameron House.  [ photos ]
• Basketball Clinic at CH Cameron House and the Chinatown YMCA sponsored a basketball clinic on April 14.  Additional funding was provided by Nike.  Cameron House's Darren Woo was one of the leaders.  [ photos ]
• 40's and 50's Event We all had a great time on February 24 celebrating those who came through Cameron House in the 40's and 50's. [ photos ]
• Annual Guild Tea on February 24 The CH Guild provides support for our programs.  [ photos ]

2006

• Harvest Home Each year youth and volunteers at Cameron House collect and sort food for needy Chinatown families. They then bag the food and deliver it to the families. [ photos ]
• Family Potluck Again this year, youth and their parents joined together for an evening of good food and fellowship at the Youth Ministries Family Potluck. [ photos ]
• Guild Yum Cha The Cameron House Guild held its annual Yum Cha on October 23. Through this and other events, the Guild provides financial support for the Cameron House programs. [ photos ]
• UPS Helps Out at Cameron House On October 18, employees of UPS volunteered to help out at Cameron House. They waxed floors, put together new desks and cleaned up the outside yards. Thanks to all those who helped and to UPS for supporting this volunteer effort. [ photos ]
• Westminster Woods We've added photos of members of our youth program enjoying fun and study at the Westminster Woods camp in Sonoma County. [ photos ]
• Summer Service Dinner On August 6, we honored the youth and adults who helped make Cameron Ventures and BYP a success. [ photos ]
