We're celebrating the retirement of Executive Director Doreen Der-McLeod on Friday, September 18, 2009. Come and celebrate Doreen’s retirement with a dinner and program at the Far East Café in SF Chinatown. You’ll hear from former colleagues, friends and family in appreciation for her life of service in the community. Please join us in giving Doreen a warm and heartfelt sendoff.

Cameron House seeks new Executive Director
Cameron House seeks a dynamic and visionary executive leader. The Executive Director oversees Cameron House's multi-disciplinary social services and youth programs as well as the financial and administrative systems that support them. As the lead spokesperson for the agency with government funders, private foundations, donors, and collaborating agencies, the Executive Director advocates for policies and funding that address the needs of our clients and their families. S/he must be comfortable with assuming leadership of an organization which integrates and expresses Christian faith in its programs and activities. The application deadline is June 30, 2009 and all interested parties are encouraged to apply.

Cameron House Executive Director Transition Team Formed
In preparation for Doreen’s retirement, an executive transition team has been formed to see this process through. The Transition Team is comprised of: Board of Directors Members Rev. John Anderson, Mark Fong, Debbie Sue, and Heidi Wong; Staff Members Laurene Chan and Yulanda Kwong; and Community Member Keith Choy. The executive transition process is being facilitated by Byron Johnson and Debbie Wu of CompassPoint Nonprofit Services in San Francisco.

Cameron House will be conducting an open process of searching for and hiring its next Executive Director.
