Food Pantry
Cameron House is a food distribution site for families who have lost their food stamps as a result of the 1996 Welfare Reform Act. Applicants who do not receive food stamps may inquire and make an appointment to see if they are eligible to receive weekly groceries from the pantry.

Our Food Pantry is open Fridays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Harvest Home
Each year, Cameron House assists low-income families to experience a more hearty Thanksgiving by providing them a bountiful bag of groceries.

In partnership, Youth Ministries and the Social Services Ministry of Cameron House carry out this mission by involving different communities.

For 2010, the Friday Night Club youth plan to raise funds by delivering flyers to homes in the Richmond District on Oct. 29th and returning to these homes the following Friday, Nov. 5th to collect monetary donations.

In our effort to "go green," the groceries that will be given to the families will be packaged inside reusable canvas bags that the youth have been silkscreening with a Cameron House design. While supplies last, bags will also be presented as a token of appreciation to those who donate $20 or more to the Harvest Home Project starting on November 5, when the youth visit door-to-door.

Donations of any amount are appreciated and will go a long way in helping families have an enjoyable holiday! Checks can be written to "Donaldina Cameron House" and please note "Harvest Home 2010" on the memo line. Donations are being accepted now through November 14th.
