With care and compassion, the Cameron House’s Social Services Ministry offers counseling, domestic violence intervention, employment development, referrals and support services to individuals in San Francisco Chinatown and the Asian-American community. We seek to educate and empower clients to become self-sufficient, skilled, and resourceful in strengthening themselves and their families and in serving their community.

We counsel individuals who are facing challenges and who are seeking to make adjustments in their lives in America. We also work with individuals and families to help resolve conflicts due to domestic violence and problem gambling.

We strive to strengthen and affirm families through case management, counseling, support groups and educational programs.

Our employment program offers job placement opportunities and job readiness training. We provide job interview counseling, opportunities to develop computer skills, and job placement assistance to allow an individual to find the job that can support themselves and their family.

A diagnosis of cancer shouldn’t cause a person to be isolated and ostracized. Our support group brings together people to help each other through life’s hard times.

Through the weekly distribution of food at our food pantry and our annual Thanksgiving Harvest Home food drive, we help provide basic necessities for low-income families.

Through community outreach, publication of our Chinese-language newsletter, and organizing events, such as Family Day and June outing, we promote community education and awareness to the issues, information, and resources.

We collaborate with a variety of agencies in the San Francisco Bay Area to ensure that individuals in need receive the best possible assistance.
