Mission Trip Presentations
This summer a group of 35 people, from Cameron House and the Presbyterian Church in Chinatown embarked on a mission trip to New Orleans, Louisiana. The group ranged from 14-years-old to some in their 60's. We knew that there was still recovery work to be done because of the damage from Hurricane Katrina, so we all wanted to help those in need. During those eight days, we not only learned how to do carpentry work like hanging sheetrock and installing appliances, but got the chance to hear the stories of local people, tour areas heavily affected, and to grow as individuals and as a group through service. We witnessed some truly amazing efforts and heard other very moving stories.
You are cordially invited to our New Orleans Mission Trip Presentation. Join us to hear about our trip, watch a performance by the group, a slideshow, a video and a chance for some questions and answers. If you want, we'll also tell you about the heat, the mosquitoes, and these wonderful things called Po' boys. There will also be some special New Orleans treats!

Health Dialogues August 8
On Friday, August 8th, you are invited to be part of a conversation about our connection to our inner selves and our connection to each other. We will explore the nature of healing, how feelings and emotions affect our health, and how intuition is an integral part of mental and emotional health. Click here for more information.
2008 Academic Scholarship Application
Generous donors to Cameron House have established a scholarship fund for participants in the Cameron House youth program. To be eligible, the student must be starting or entering college in Fall 2008. The application form contains more information about the scholarships. Deadline for submitting the form is July 25. Habitat for Humanity Work Project Photos
Volunteers from Cameron House and the Presbyterian Church in Chinatown participated in a work day with Habitat for Humanity San Francisco to build new housing.
