Our Vision of Youth
Cameron House Youth Ministries offers Christian centered youth
programming. With every youth who comes through our doors, we
strive to build a community of faith by sharing experiences
of love, support, friendship, and service so that we can all
go forth more empowered to make a better world. Through leadership
training and peer relationships, we provide a community of positive
role models and a safe environment for teaching and learning.
Youth will grow in faith by experiencing spiritual disciplines
of worship, study, and prayer while being members of a loving
and supportive community.

Volunteer Program
Cameron House offers high school youth the opportunity to develop leadership skills through our Volunteer Program. Volunteers mentor, tutor, supervise, and interact with the students in the Bilingual After-School Program (BAP) & Bilingual Summer Youth Program (BYP) and the campers in Cameron Ventures & Solid Ground. Volunteers are trained in first aid, child safety, and leading groups of children on field trips.

Friday Club is a year-round faith-based youth program providing a safe and secure environment where youth can form lasting friendships with peers, develop leadership skills, and foster a deeper sense of Christian spirituality and faith. Friday Club is open to all middle school and high school youth and meets from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Cameron House.

Cameron House sponsors teams in various basketball leagues and tournaments. Youth participating in the Basketball Program must be active participants in the Friday Club Program.

The Bilingual After-School Program is a mentoring program, offering group and one-on-one tutoring and supervised recreation. The program is open to all youth entering grades 1-8 in the fall and takes place at Cameron House.

During the summer, Cameron House offers programs for youth of all ages. For those entering grades 1-5 in the fall, we offer Cameron Ventures and Bilingual Summer Youth Program. For those entering grades 6-8 in the fall we offer Solid Ground. Older youth serve as leaders and mentors in the summer programs. In conjunction with the Presbyterian Church in Chinatown, we offer vacation bible school. And we cap the summer with a week-long experience at Westminster Woods Youth Camp in Sonoma County.
